Our League is run completely by volunteers. We rely on you to volunteer your time to succeed as a league. Volunteer Bond Requirements can be found below.
Spring Season Bond Volunteer Requirements:
As part of the registration process, all families pay a $100 volunteer bond per registered child.
To earn back your $100 bond, the following volunteer requirements must be satisfied:
• Volunteer Tasks: Work two (2) Volunteer Tasks for each registered child.
• Concession Stand: Work one (1) Concession Shift at the Ward Concession Stand per registered child. Sign-up for Concession Shifts will be done separately.
If you have more than two children registered, the maximum volunteer requirement is:
• Four (4) Volunteer Tasks
• Two (2) Concession Shifts
Additional Concession Shifts worked may count toward your Volunteer Task requirement.
Exemptions:
• Team Managers (Rookies level and above) are exempt from the two (2) Volunteer Tasks and one (1) Concession Shift for the child they manage.
• Assistant Coaches are exempt from the two (2) Volunteer Tasks for the child they coach but must still complete (1) Concession Shift to earn back their bond.
Once the required two (2) Volunteer Tasks and one (1) Concession Shift have been completed, the $100 bond will be refunded. Refunds will be issued 2-3 months after the season ends.
No-Show & Cancellation Policy
Effective 04.26.2025, the following policy applies to all scheduled Snack Shack volunteer shifts:
-
Shift Cancellations:
Volunteers must cancel their scheduled concession stand shift at least 24 hours in advance if they are unable to attend. Cancellation reminders are sent via SignUp Genius.
-
Failure to Cancel / No-Show:
If a volunteer does not cancel their shift within the 24-hour window and fails to show up, their volunteer bond will be automatically forfeited, regardless of whether other volunteer tasks have been completed.
This policy is necessary due to repeated instances of unreported absences, which have left the stand unstaffed. When this occurs, WWLL is forced to divert board members from league operations or hire paid workers to cover shifts, directly impacting league funds meant to support our players and programs.
Fall Season Bond Volunteer Requirements
As part of the registration process, all families pay a $50 per child volunteer bond per registered child.
To earn back your $50 bond, the following volunteer requirements must be satisfied:
• Volunteer Tasks: Work One (1) Volunteer Task for each registered child.
• Managing or Assistant Coaching your child's team will count as One (1) Volunteer Task.
Once the required one (1) Volunteer Task has been completed, the $50 bond will be refunded. Refunds will be issued 2-3 months after the season ends.
Volunteer opportunities outside of managing or coaching a team will run through SignUp Genius. Kindly provide your child's complete name as registered in a WWLL program in the comments section. This will ensure the smooth processing of your bond credit without issue.
