2026 - Spring Baseball

West Windsor Little League Spring Baseball offers children of all ages and skill levels the opportunity to develop a love of the game while building physical skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The season runs from mid-March through mid-June, with WWLL Memorial Awards Night held one week before the season concludes.

At the lower divisions (Tee Ball and Rookies), players learn the fundamentals of the game in a non-competitive setting where fun, exercise, and participation are emphasized. As players advance to higher divisions (AAA, Minors, and Majors), the level of competition increases—teams will win and lose games—but participation, effort, and enjoyment remain at the core of our program.

Players of all skill levels are welcome at every level. Even in the Majors division, we value enthusiasm, effort, and a love of the game, ensuring every player has a full opportunity to play and contribute.

During registration, families will be prompted to provide proof of residency—either by entering their home address or selecting their child’s school.

LATE REGISTRATION FEES will be applied after Sunday FEBRUARY 1st, 2026

SPRING VOLUNTEER DUTIES

Please remember that our league is completely run by volunteers. We rely on your time and support to make our league a success. As part of the registration process, all families pay a $100 volunteer bond per registered child.

To earn back your $100 bond, you must complete the following volunteer requirements:

Volunteer Tasks: Work (2) Volunteer Tasks for each registered child.
Concession Stand: Work (1) Concession Shift at the Ward Concession Stand per registered child. Sign-up for Concession Shifts will be done separately.

If you have more than two children registered, the maximum volunteer requirement is:

Additional Concession Shifts worked may count towards your Volunteer Task requirement.

EXEMPTIONS:

Team Managers at the Rookies level and above are exempt from the (2) Volunteer Tasks and (1) Concession Shift for the child they manage.

Assistant Coaches are exempt from the (2) Volunteer Tasks for the child they coach but must still complete (1) Concession Shift to earn back their bond.

Once you have completed the required (2) Volunteer Tasks and (1) Concession Shift, your $100 bond will be refunded. Refunds will be issued 2-3 months after the season ends.

Minors (Registration for 9 and 10 year olds born between September 1, 2015 and August 31, 2017)

This division is generally for 9 and 10-year-old players. Some 11-year-old players may be assigned to Minors after the Majors workout, but must register for Majors. All 9-year-old players (who have already played AAA for one year) and 10-year-old players must register for Minors. 10-year-old players who wish to attend the Majors workout must register for Minors, but will be given the opportunity within the Minors registration system to indicate their interest in attending the Majors workout. 10-year-olds who attend the Majors workout may be selected for a Majors team, pending performance at the workout and space availability.

All players who register for Minors must attend a workout prior to the start of the season (see dates below). 9 and 10-year-olds will automatically be placed on a Minors team unless parents of a given child and the league agree that AAA Ball is more appropriate.

Practices for Minors typically begins with indoor practices in early March. Minors games are played according to the official Little League Baseball rules (modified slightly). Teams will play two games a week (on Wednesday and Friday), and will typically also have one weeknight practice per week. All players play the field for at least 4 innings and all players bat in the lineup. Some restrictions on maximum pitching innings, maximum innings at the same defensive position, and requiring that all players play at least one defensive inning in both the infield and outfield ensure that players get exposure to a number of positions and that teams use many different pitchers.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT NEW LITTLE LEAGUE BAT REGULATIONS

Below is information related to new bat regulations that are in effect with Little League as of January 1, 2018: Effective on January 1, 2018, Little League Baseball will adhere to the new USABat standard. No bats previously approved for use in Little League Play (Junior League Baseball and below) will be permitted to be used in any Little League game or practice, or other Little League function, event, or activity. Majors (Registration for 11 and 12 year olds born between September 1, 2013 and August 31, 2015)

This league is for 11 and 12 year olds, and the most skilled 10-year-old players who played in Minors the prior season. All 11 and 12 year old players must register for Majors. All players who register for Majors must attend a workout prior to the start of this season. 10 year old players who are interested in playing Majors must register for Minors, but will be able to indicate their interest in playing Majors within the Minors registration system.

11 year olds will automatically be placed on a Majors team unless the parents of a given child and the League agree that Minors is more appropriate. 10 who attend the workout and do not qualify to be placed in Majors based on their performance during the workout will automatically be placed on a team in the Minors Division. If the parents of an 11-year-old player prefer that their son play in Minors, there is an opportunity to indicate this in the registration process.

This league is the most competitive level available. There is a three-inning minimum defensive play rule in this league. All players are in the batting order at all times, whether or not playing defense when it is their turn at bat. Teams play two games per week (Tuesday and Friday evenings), plus one weeknight practice. Teams are formed in early March and will practice (indoors and outdoors) 2-3 times per week until the season starts.
