The West Windsor girls’ tournament run came to end with a 13-6 semifinal loss to a powerful Robbinsville squad. Throughout the week West Windsor showed steady improvement at the plate and in the field --the had begun the tournament with a 17-1 loss to the very same team. Megan Foley, Catie Raeter and Courtney Skolka led the way in the field and at the plate while newcomers Jacquelyn Cai, Julia Revock, Iris Foster, Jenn O’Leary, Julia Bahash, Megan Kramer, Jackie Markisz and Shreya Mandloi each contributed to the girl’s surprising run through the U8 tournament. West Windsor looks forward to seeing these girls compete again.

The offensive fireworks continued as the U8 girls softball team trounced Florence 20-7. Newcomers Megan Kramer (3 hits, 3 runs), Shreya Mandloi (2 hits 2 RBI) and Jackie Markisz (2 hits 2 runs) ignited the West Windsor offense which had been quiet through the first two innings. Once they kick started the the team, the girls hit on all ten cylinders as each player wound up with multiple hits. Veterans Catie Raeter, Megan Foley and Courtney Skolka continued their solid fielding and hitting while Jacqueline Cai, Jennifer O’Leary and Iris Foster chipped in timely hits. Hitting ingenue Julia Revock provided the grande finale to the offensive pyrotechnics as she rocketed a fifth inning, bases-loaded triple well into left field. As her moonshot skittered towards the wall Courtney Skolka scampered home with the final run propelling the girls into a semi-final match-up with Robbinsville. The girls play tonight (Friday, June 27) at 7:30 pm on Wasco Field at the R. J. Ward complex.

East Windsor

The offensive barrage continued as West Windsor jumped out to an early 5-0 lead and cruised to a 15-5 victory over
East Windsor . Julia Bahash led the way with 3 hits, 3 runs and 4 rbi. Julia Revock scored 3 and knocked in a pair while Jennifer O’Leary had a clutch 2 out base hit driving in a run. Catie Raeter, Megan Foley, Courtney Skolka and Iris Foster set the table as each girl rapped out multiple hits and never stopped running. But defense was again the difference. Courtney Skolka recorded 4 unassisted outs at 3b while pitcher Catie Raeter and 1b Megan Foley again were rock-solid as they combined for 8 putouts. Julia Bahash recorded a beautiful assist from rf while Catie Raeter provided the “web-gem” of the evening by spearing a hard line-drive right back to the circle. The WW U8 will be in action again this Thursday, June 26 at the R. J. Ward complex.

The West Windsor U8 softball team rebounded strongly from a tough loss to a powerful Robbinsville team this past Sunday. Monday night the ladies trounced a game Millstone squad as the
West Windsor scored 14 runs on 17 hits. Katie Raeter, Courtney Skolka, and Iris Foster each had 2 rbi while Jacqueline Cai, Jennifer O’Leary, Julia Revock, Julia Bahash and Megan Foley also drove in runs as
West Windsor hit the ball with authority throughout the game. Catie Raeter patrolled the circle with three impressive assists to the sure-handed Megan Foley stationed at 1st
