Minors Softball is for 9 and 10 year old players. 8 year old players may be permitted to play Minors based on a tryout and available roster spots. Minors is a competitive league with scores and standings. Teams are assigned by the league coordinators with an emphasis on balanced teams. Games are played by official Little League rules with local modifications. Player pitch is introduced and is supplemented with coach pitch to keep games moving. There will be two games and a minimum of one practice per week. Games will be on Saturday afternoons/evenings and one weeknight, most likely Wednesday or Thursday. Minors teams also play several interleague games per season against other NJ District 12 teams and will travel to other area towns for some of these games.
