WWLL 8-Year Old All-Stars Game Results
The West Windsor 8-year old All Stars opened up their second tournament of the season in Bordentown with mixed results.
The team played a complete game on Saturday, July 18, defeating Lawrence 16-3. The strong pitching was led by Alejandro Rivera, Luke Hansen and Jacob Mitchell. The bats were alive all game as well led by Jared Panson with 6 RBIs and Brendan Kerins and Will Marsh coming through with big hits with runners on base.
On Sunday July 19, the team faced Robbinsville (the winner of the early 8’s tournament) and came away with a tough loss by the score of 13-5. The team led 4-2 after the first two innings with clutch hitting in the first and strong pitching by Alejandro Rivera but Robbinsville’s bats proved to be too much as they continued to hit throughout the game while the West Windsor bats went quiet until picking up the fifth run in the 5th inning.
The team plays Princeton on Wednesday night in Bordentown with hopes of a win and advancement to the quarterfinals on Saturday, July 25.
