WWLL 8u wins Sunnybrae Tournament

Congratulations to the WWLL 8U for winning the Sunnybrae Early Tournament defeating Nottingham 10-9 in a white knuckler!! Gotta love these kids, So proud of these boys, coaches and fans!!!!

The 8-year old West Windsor All Stars wrapped up a perfect 6-0 tournament record with a Championship in the Early 8s tournament hosted by Sunnybrae Little League by defeating Nottingham in the finals last night.
West Windsor benefited from an outstanding performance by Jacob Hastings on the mound as he held Nottingham scoreless over the first 3 innings. Luke Foley took over in the 4th and also pitched very well to keep us in the game. Owen Vogel came in to get the final out and brought us to victory. The team also put forth an outstanding offensive effort as 10 of the 11 players pitched in to score a run!  Quinn Ferri also deserves special mention for his gutsy pitching  performance in the semi-final game on Tuesday which helped us advance to the finals.

Please come out to support the West Windsor 8’s as they kick off their 2nd summer tournament tonight hosted by West Windsor.

WWLL 12s In District Championship Game

West Windsor 12 Year Olds Advance to the District Championship Game

On the strength of Jack Dileo’s pitching and some timely hitting, the West Windsor 12 year old All Star Team defeated Lawrence 11-4 on Sunday, July 6 to advance to the Championship Game of the District Tournament.  Jack pitched a perfect game through 4 innings, striking out 7 and allowing no base runners.  Key hits in the game included Luke Potts’ home run in the 1st inning, Jack Dileo’s two run single in the second inning, and Chris Bluni’s bases loaded ground rule double in the second inning.  Luke, Jack, and Jude Ferri all had multiple hit games.  Jake Naddleman and Ian Muni had RBIs in the game, and Jake made a great running catch in right field to end the game.  William Raeter, Austin Hodges, Brendan Kerins, and Brian Spencer all contributed base hits to the effort.   Austin and Luke relieved Jack on the mound and assured the West Windsor victory.

This win propels the team into the District Championship Game vs. Nottingham on Wednesday.  The game will be played at Nottingham, with a starting time of 7PM.   We know Nottingham will have a huge home crowd at the game, so please come out to support our team as they try to bring the District Banner back to West Windsor.
